University launches its Manchester Pride campaign
The University has officially launched its participation in Manchester Pride.
Supported by members of the senior management team, the launch took place with a photo shoot incorporating this year’s theme ‘LOVE’.
The University is trying for a hat trick of awards with this year’s entry after winning in 2012 and 2103 and we’ll be celebrating everything that the university loves! We know we already love our staff and students, but what else do we love? Well, one way to find out is to participate in our entry on Saturday 23 August.
We also have a ‘green’ entry this year using our available carbon-free transport – showing our love for sustainability – and all entrants will get a free T shirt.
“This is a great opportunity for all staff and students to be involved in an important event for the University and the city of Manchester. Being a part of our walking entry demonstrates inclusivity and support for LGBT colleagues, students and future recruits,” said Karen Heaton, Director of HR and LGBT Champion.
