Animation14 event bigger than ever!
14 Jul 2014
On Friday, 11 July the Martin Harris Centre hosted the Awards Day for the 7th Annual UK Schools Computer Animation Competition, run by the School of Computer Science
This year was bigger than ever, with over 1,300 entries from 183 schools across the country. On Friday, we welcomed 400 schoolkids, teachers and parents, for an amazing day of pyrotechnics, winning films and awards, and rooms of hands-on activities designed to enthuse kids about Computer Science.
Toby Howard, Director of Undergraduate Studies in the School of Computer Science, who leads the project, said "This year's competition was our most successful ever, and we're getting lots of feedback that the comp is really popular in the classroom and after-schools clubs."
