Access peer support in dealing with work-based issues
09 Aug 2014
Come along to the Professional Development Network Annual Event on Tuesday, 28 October (9.30am to 2pm) at the Harwood Room, Manchester Meeting Place (previously Staff House)
Did you know that the University offers staff an opportunity to address work place issues with colleagues through the Professional Development Network?
Open to all colleagues at the University, this peer support network consists of a number of small groups who meet regularly to discuss issues and agree actions.
This method of peer support and learning (Action Learning) gives colleagues the opportunity to:
- Focus on real work based issues
- Reflect with peers and find workable solutions together
- Try out new approaches and methods
- Report back on the impact of any actions taken
The network is in its seventh year and is co-ordinated by the Staff Training and Development Unit.
