Turnitin unavailable 26-27 July 2014 for scheduled maintenance

Colleagues are asked to modify student assignment dates if necessary

What is affected?

Submission of work via Turnitin. Students should not try to submit during the maintenance period.

What is happening?

Turnitin will be unavailable between 5pm on Saturday 26 July and 5am on Sunday 27 July for scheduled maintenance.

The maintenance will include significant upgrades to improve capacity and scalability as use of the global service grows. An announcement will appear within Turnitin to remind users that it will be unavailable for this scheduled maintenance.

What do you need to do?

If you have any students due to submit on these dates, you are advised to modify assignment due dates/times so that they fall either before or several hours after the scheduled maintenance window. Please advise students accordingly. 

A message will be also added to the communications portal in Blackboard.
