Centre for New Writing Launches Micropoem Competition

The Twitter based competition runs from 7-14 July 2014

Poetry in 140 characters? What would Brontë have made of tweet poems?
Following the success of last year's micropoetry competition, the Centre for New Writing and the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures are pleased to announce the launch of #micropoem14.
This year's theme is 'English Summer'
Rules
The competition runs between Monday, 7 and Monday, 14 July 2014 inclusive
All you need to do to enter is tweet your micropoem with the hashtag #micropoem14.
Your micropoem must be themed around the English Summer
Your micropoem must be in the English language
One micropoem per person
Winners
Winners will be announced by 5pm on Friday, 18 July 2014
Prizes for the best 3 poems include tickets to a Literature Live event in autumn 2014, a signed Jeanette Winterson book and book vouchers.
The competition will be judged by a team from the Centre for New Writing including the Centre's co-director and poet John McAuliffe, whose 3rd book is Of All Places; Janet Rogerson and Eleanor Ward.
