University wins award for 2013 bond launch

The team behind the University’s successful £300 million bond issue last July won ‘Non-Traditional Deal of the Year’ at the Rainmaker corporate finance awards

This category allows the judging panel to recognise any deal that has taken place within the timeframe that shows an innovative approach to a transaction or challenge.

The award was presented at the Deansgate Hilton on 22 May 2014. Pictured are Sally McGill, Deputy Director of Finance, who accepted the award on behalf of the University from Justin Moorhouse, along with Dayna Whewell and Guy Bagshaw of Rothschild who advised on the transaction.
