The 2000 Challenge

Members of staff are invited to help boost the number of bags donated to the British Heart Foundation by Friday, 20 June
To date, students leaving University halls have put over 1300 British Heart Foundation bags full of donations in our donation banks across campus.
Although this is a fantastic result, we want to achieve more. Residential Services are therefore challenging our undergraduate students to donate over 2000 bags to the British Heart Foundation before the end of next week.
You too can help us achieve a great result by donating the following items:
- Clothing
- Books
- CDs
- DVDs
- Shoes
- Clean and dry pots, pans and crockery
- Small electrical appliances
British Heart Foundation collection containers are located as follows:

- The Mill (Sackville Street)
- Aquatics Centre Car park (next to the bike sheds)
- Behind Humanities Bridgeford Street
- Chandos Hall Car Park (for Wright Robinson, Weston, Lambert and Fairfield Halls)
- Opal Hall
- Grosvenor Place
- George Kenyon Hall (side of building beside recycling centre)
- Whitworth Park
Victoria Park Campus
- Hulme Hall entrance
- St Gabriels - JCR Entrance
- Dalton Ellis (at the back of the dining room)
