Due to some recently identified security risks, we have put in place a number of enhancements to improve the security on our services. There is no evidence to suggest that any information was compromised, but we are now taking the precaution of asking all users to change their passwords and memorable phrases.
If you have not changed your password or memorable phrase since 20 May 2014, you will receive a series of emails from us reminding you to do so. However, you must still be vigilant and beware of any potential scam messages attempting to compromise your account details.
You should only use our IT Account Manager to change your password and remember that IT Services will never ask you to tell us your password. You can type the address of the IT account manager directly into your web browser address bar to ensure you are accessing the correct page.

If you have doubts about the validity of any message from IT services please contact the IT Service Desk.
All passwords and MyView memorable phrases which have not been changed since 20 May 2014 will expire. You will be notified when this will happen and if you have not changed your password by the expiry date, you will not be able to log in to some University services (eg email) until your password has been changed.
We understand that this is an extremely busy time of year for many people and remembering new passwords can sometimes be difficult, but we take your IT account safety and personal information very seriously.
