Staff Survey: One year on from the results being published

Find our how your views are being put into action right across our University
Back in March and April 2013, 71% of University staff took part in the Staff Survey.
This amazingly high response rate meant that a whole range of feedback from staff was collected, giving the University’s Senior Leadership Team a great picture of how staff feel about working here. While 92% of staff said they felt proud to work at the University and 82% said they were satisfied with their experience of working here, the results, which were published on 4 June 2013, showed there were some areas where action needed to be taken to improve things.
So, one year on, here's an update on how work is progressing, turning your views into action right across the University. You can find out more here about the four University-level key themes:
- Leadership and Management Development
- Behaviours
- Performance and Development Review (P&DR)
- Reward and Recognition
And action has been taking place in Directorates, Faculties, Schools, the Library and our cultural institutions to improve things on a more local level - you can find out more about these projects.
The Staff Survey Steering Group would also like to find out how you feel Staff Survey actions are progressing - you do this by taking part in this quick poll or emailing your feedback to staffsurvey@manchester.ac.uk
Acting on your views
Where there’s a good story to tell about Staff Survey feedback being turned into positive action, you’ll see it emblazoned with the strapline ‘Acting On Your Views’. You’ll be seeing this logo more and more over the coming months as some new and exciting projects come to fruition as a direct result of your Staff Survey feedback.
Tell us your story
It'd be great to share the work which is going on across the University, so if you’ve got a story to tell about how you’re putting Staff Survey feedback into actions, contacts uninews@manchester.ac.uk and someone from the Division of Communications and Marketing can put you in touch with the right person to help you put your idea into words, photos or video clips, which can be shared with colleagues right across the University.
