Communications and Marketing launch their 'brand' new office
29 May 2014
Feedback from the Staff Survey has been brought to life with a newly refurbished office for the Division of Communications and Marketing
The Division has been based in LG020 and LG040 in the John Owens building for the past five years, and staff felt it was time for some investment to be made in their offices. Following feedback highlighted in the Staff Survey, a small team from across the Division came together to work out how to best improve the space available. Plans were drawn up and last week the new offices were unveiled.
New features include an informal meeting space, a media unit to showcase the Division's digital projects, improved lighting and a new meeting room with top notch AV equipment.
And the Division's Design Studio came into its own, creating a range of impressive artworks for the walls of the new look offices.
A small celebration was held last week with guest of honour the President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nancy Rothwell, speaking about the importance of communications and marketing to the University.
Director of Communications and Marketing, Alan Ferns, thanked colleagues who had helped carry out the refurbishment so quickly and to such a high standard, including the brilliant support from the Directorate of Estates and Facilities.
