Stroke Stories: a human library and story-telling event
07 May 2014
On Friday, 9 May (12-5pm) in The John Rylands Library
Visitors to the Library will be able to select a ‘book’, or stroke survivor, based on a summary of their story and then have the opportunity to chat to the stroke survivor about their experience.
This inspiring event aims to raise awareness about stroke and life after stroke. Members from the Stroke Association will also be available on the day to offer advice on stroke prevention and care, and provide a free blood pressure test.
‘Stroke Stories’ is part of Science Stroke Art 2014, a series of innovative public engagement and awareness events taking place in Manchester this May, as part of Action on Stroke Month. To find out more about events taking place as part of Science Stroke Art 2014, visit:
