Earth Week (10 to 14 February) was a series of free interactive exhibitions, academic lectures and exciting events which asked: "What is the future of our World? What issues do we need to tackle in our lifetimes? What are the big problems our society faces?"

The Future of Our World Lecture Series offered an exciting chance to find out about the issues of interest, from the future of our energy to global inequalities.

Explore the Living Worlds tours in Manchester Museum invited people to discover the natural world and find out how to make our life more sustainable.

Bike Fest, a cycling festival, took place outside the Alan Gilbert Learning Commons on 12 February.

Clifford Fleming, the Union's Campaigns & Citizenship Officer, said: "This award is fantastic news and is without doubt due to the fantastic partnership between the Students’ Union and many staff at the University."

"I would like personally to thank everyone who was involved, including the student volunteers, the Students' Union Comms team, members of staff from across the University, and exhibitors."
