The Vitae NW Hub invites you to attend this one-day workshop to understand how you can make an impact in your research career.
As excellent researchers, you understand that your work can change the world. How you go about and talk about your work can have a huge impact on how both your work and you are viewed. This course aims to help you make your mark.
The course will draw on the current agendas of research impact demonstrated by the funding bodies and grant holders, but with specific focus on you as the individual and how you work. Through discussion and practical activities you will consider both the impact of your research, and the impact you have in the research environment in which you work.
Specifically the course will:
- Explore how you can make more impact by:
o how you work with others
o how you communicate your research
o how you engage with those connected to your research
- Explore the impact of your research by:
o understanding the context of your research
o considering the beneficiaries of your research
o managing the implications of your research
