School of Mathematics: Postgraduate Open Day

On 26 February 2014 (1.30pm – 4pm) on Atrium Bridge, Alan Turing Building

The School of Mathematics offers postgraduate degrees (MSc and PhD) in all areas of mathematics. If you want to find out more about these, come along to our Postgraduate Open Day on Wednesday 26 February 2014 on the Atrium Bridge of the Alan Turing Building to discuss your interests with academics and attend talks on the MSc and research degrees that we offer.

The programme for the Open Day is as follows:

  • 1.30pm Registration
  • 2-2.20pm (approx) 'Introduction to Postgraduate Study in Mathematics at Manchester' by Prof Matthias Heil, in Frank Adams Room 1 and 2.
  • 2.20–2.30pm Introduction to the Postgraduate Programme Directors.
  • 2.30–3.45pm Refreshments on the Atrium Bridge. This will provide an opportunity for informal discussions about our postgraduate programmes with academics and current students.
  • 3.45pm Tour of the Alan Turing Building
