New Return to Work Interview Checklists

These provide a useful tool for managers to help employees make a successful return to work following a long absence.

Following a period of maternity or additional paternity leave, a career break or mobilisation with the Volunteer Reserve Forces, it is important to ensure that the employee is supported back into work. They may feel they have lost touch with work and may find it difficult to adjust. 

Managers should conduct an interview with a returning member of staff to help them to settle back into their role as smoothly and quickly as possible, using the appropriate checklist:
