Enriching the Student Experience - apply for funding for small projects
31 Jan 2014
Do you have a project that could enhance University life and the student experience? Return your application form by 19 February.
Donations to the University from alumni and friends support a wide variety of projects and programmes across campus to enrich the academic and wider university experience for the student body as a whole. Past projects include a new study space in the Precinct Library, installation of a recharging station for mobile devices, and renovating unwanted or unused bikes found on campus and renting them out to students. Around £450,000 has been given out to deserving projects to date.
We are now accepting applications to the Learning Enrichment Fund from students and staff for suitable projects. To apply, please complete the attached application form and return it, along with a sponsor application form completed by an appropriate person, by 12pm on Wednesday, 19 February 2014, to:
This will be the last opportunity for submissions during this academic year. Due to the exceptionally high standard of applications in the autumn, we only have limited funds left to allocate to deserving projects so please bear that in mind when applying.
These forms along with further information can also be found online at:
Projects should complement the University’s strategic agenda and should potentially benefit multiple groups of students, or the student body as a whole. Please bear in mind that this funding is only made possible through the generosity of our donors, and, in order to ensure the University is using their gifts in the best possible way, applications must follow the attached guidelines. This funding is open to both students and staff at the University.
Consideration for applications takes place three times a year and those seeking to submit should alert the Division of Development and Alumni Relations in order that you can be kept up-to-date of submission, consideration and announcement dates.
Feedback
Applicants in receipt of this funding are required to provide feedback during and at the end of the project/activity.
This feedback should include photography, video or a meeting with a donor and written feedback.
This can be arranged with the Division of Development and Alumni Relations. Any naming opportunities will be progressed by the Division.
