Weddings earn extra revenue for The Tabley Collection
30 Jan 2014
The Tabley House Collection has been raising its profile as a wedding venue over the last few months.
The campaign has already started to show dividends with three wedding bookings in as many weeks at the start of the year.
Lots of couples get engaged over the Christmas and New Year period and choosing the venue that will be the centre of their special day is often the first thing on the “to do” list.
The Tabley House Collection was one of the first venues in East Cheshire to become a licensed premise when the law was first relaxed in 1990s. Since that time the market has become more competitive. A venue such as The Tabley House Collection can find it hard to raise its profile against the big advertising spends of hotel chains and dedicated wedding venues. The Collection recognised the need to reinvigorate their offer and bring in extra resources to make the most of this market.
The campaign launched at the beginning December with advertising, social media activity on Twitter, Pinterest and Linked-In and a new Facebook page Tabley House Weddings. Having trialled wedding fairs organised by a third party in 2013, TTHCT are taking the plunge and organising their own on 23 March 2014.
Clare Pye, Chairman of the Trust, says “Weddings are important for the Trust, not only in raising money but as another way of sharing this splendid Collection with people. All revenues go towards the up keep of the Collection which we hope will also appeal to couples.”
