UG Open Days 2014
30 Jan 2014
There will be an additional Open Day in 2014 to meet increased demand from applicants.
2013 saw the University receive a record number of registrations for our open days, with almost 50,000 visitors registering across the three dates. Open days are becoming more and more important in the applicants' decision making process and it is therefore important that we meet this increased demand. 2013 saw many pressure points and capacity issues on campus, resulting in queues and some visitors being turned away from our most popular sessions. Following a consultation process with Faculties, PSS and other key areas, the University has committed to running an additional open day on Saturday 27th September. This means that the schedule for the 2014 open days is as follows:
- Friday, 20 June 2014 (10am to 4pm)
- Saturday, 21 June 2014 (10am to 4pm)
- Saturday, 27 September 2014 (10am to 4pm)
- Saturday, 4 October 2014 (10am to 4pm)
Open days are the perfect opportunity for prospective students and their key influencers to come onto campus and get a real feel for the University and for us to showcase what we have to offer. Planning for an Open Day takes a lot of time and preparation and is only possible through all areas of the University coming together as a single team. The UG Recruitment and Widening Participation Team would like to thank all colleagues for their support with these events and for making them so successful. We look forward to working with you during the coming year in the delivery of these events.
