Places now available on 'Child Protection Policy & Guidance' training

If you work with under-18s as part of your official duties, you may benefit from this 2-hour session which looks at the responsibilities of those involved in taking part in, or leading, University activities involving young people.
By the end of the session those taking part will:
- Be aware of the possible forms and indications of child abuse
- Take appropriate action if they become aware of possible cases of child abuse
- Have a good general overview of the University’s policy and know where to go for further information and advice
- Have an understanding of the Disclosure and Barring Service process and appropriate checks required when working with children and/or adults
Sessions will be taking place as follows (all at STDU Training Suite, Humanities Bridgeford Street):
- Thursday 27th March 2014, 2pm - 4pm
- Friday 13th June 2014, 2pm - 4pm
- Thursday 4th September 2014, 2pm - 4pm
- Thursday 20th November 2014, 2pm - 4pm
