Last call to have a Green Impact
11 Dec 2013
The clock is ticking - sign up now to make a positive environmental change in 2014
Make sure you get in touch with the Environmental Sustainability team if you would like to get your team or office involved before Monday, 16 December.
Green Impact encourages staff and students to lead the way towards achieving positive environmental changes and impacts, by supporting groups of people who want to make a difference, helping them to spread the word and rewarding their efforts.
The scheme plays an important part in supporting the University’s Enabling Strategy 8 - to embed environmental sustainability as a key priority across the full range of our activities.
In the space of five years, the Green Impact presence on campus has grown a base of 11 teams in 2009/10 to 42 teams in 2012/13 and 54 teams that have signed up so far in 2013/14. The teams are distributed across the University as follows:
- Professional Support Services - 21
- Faculty of Medical and Human Sciences - 11
- Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences - 12
- Faculty of Humanities - 6
- Faculty of Life Sciences - 3
- Cultural Institutions - 1
