Hidden Stories of the Lawrence Inquiry
27 Nov 2013
Discussion and book launch on Wednesday, 4 December (6-8.30pm; registration from 5.30pm) in the Martin Harris Centre
The Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Race Relations Resource Centre invite you to a book launch and discussion with Dr Richard Stone, author of recently published book Hidden Stories of the Lawrence Inquiry.
Dr Stone was a panel member of the 1997–99 Stephen Lawrence Inquriy as advisor to the judge, Sir William Macpherson.
This is the fourth in a series of visits to each of the six inner city areas visited by the Lawrence Inquiry in 1998. It is an opportunity for the public to discuss with Dr Stone:
- Current concerns about racism in Manchester, especially of younger people who were too young to know about the Lawrence Inquiry
- Report on progress which has or has not been made
- Identify how we can work together to make the necessary change
