Can you help raise £8,000 for Practical Action?
Emma Dixon is a Students as Partners Sabbatical Intern for the Faculty of Humanities and in August 2014 is planning to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for the charity Practical Action.
Challenging Poverty
Practical Action uses technology to challenge poverty in developing countries. Through technology they enable poor communities to build on their skills and knowledge to produce sustainable and practical solutions, transforming their lives forever and protecting the world around them. By doing this each year, Practical Action help around a million people break out of the cycle of poverty for good.
Emma, along with her partner and her sister both of whom will also be making the epic trek, have a joint fundraising target of £8,000 of which they have already raised a staggering (which is possibly what they will all be doing once they get to the summit) £2,500.
How to Give
If you feel that you could help Emma and Co. towards their final target and support Practical Action by sponsoring them to climb Mount Kilimanjaro next summer, then please contact Emma direct on:
