Residential Pastoral Advisor vacancies in halls of residence

Applications are invited by 29 November from staff or postgraduate students of the University for Residential Pastoral Advisor posts currently available in a number of Halls of Residence.
Residential Pastoral Advisors work as part of the welfare support team in each residence. Their duties include:
- Assisting in the pastoral care of residents;
- Working with the Residents Association; and
- Helping to foster a community spirit.
Residential Pastoral Advisors will be required to be on call during the night and at weekends on a rota basis with other colleagues.
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a genuine/active interest in student affairs; individuals must be approachable and sociable, and of a socially responsible disposition, being able to demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills and an aptitude for team-working and group leadership.
Residential Pastoral Advisors are currently remunerated in the form of free accommodation. Those residing in catered halls are expected to pay the meal charges applicable to their hall of residence.
