Please request books for your second semester courses/modules by 2 December 2013, to enable the University Library to do all they can to have these items ordered, delivered and processed in time.

If you are currently experiencing delays in receiving ordered items, I would like to apologise and explain. Switching to a new Library Management System in July 2013 which operated properly during testing, but fell far short of expectations once semester had started, has resulted in a backlog of book orders. Unfortunately, similar issues are also affecting other UK universities who moved to the same system. We are working hard to reduce both the backlog and current delays and have implemented a number of immediate measures to support this.
