Indulge your sweet tooth and help raise money for BBC Children in Need!

14 Nov 2013

There’s a decidedly sweet-toothed theme to this year’s BBC Children in Need campus fundraising!

Last year's Estates bake sale

The Directorate of Estates and Facilities will be holding their annual bake sale on Friday, 15 November at 9am. ‘Pudsey’s Patisserie’ will return to Room 3.001, 3rd Floor Beyer Building, and treats will include: Chelsea buns, passion fruit cake, cupcakes, chocolate cake, plus some gluten-free and vegan options.  There will also be a raffle and chances to win some great Pudsey prizes.

The team from Christie’s Bistro will be holding a coffee morning on Friday from 9am to 11.30am. Entry will be £2 and there will be a range of tasty cakes and other treats available.

The School of MACE are holding a bake sale between 12pm and 1pm on Friday in the George Begg building foyer.  They will be holding a competition for the best engineering-themed bake, judged by their very own Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood – Head of School Admin, Anne McGourlay and Head of School, Andy Gibson.

On Thursday afternoon, Manchester Business School’s regular monthly afternoon tea will raise funds.  Held in MBS East (Booth Street East), it will start at 2pm.

The reception team at Dalton Ellis Hall have made a Christmas cake which will be raffled off, tickets cost £1 each.

And all FoodonCampus outlets will be selling special ‘Pudsey’ bear biscuits: 20p from each sale will be donated to Children in Need.

The annual event raises money to provide grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged.
