Advertising on 147 buses gets a new look
13 Nov 2013
Advertise your event, course or research study across all four double-deckers: the space is free, and design and print costs start at £200.
As one of the four Higher Education Precinct partners in the 147 Oxford Road Link bus service, the University has an allocation of 32 headliner spaces across the fleet: eight on each of the four double-decker buses.
The format of the bus headliners has changed recently from vinyl stickers to posters printed on 2mm card which are displayed in head-height frames along the interior length of the buses.
The Communications and Marketing Division offers a booking system for headliner spaces and has negotiated a baseline price for headliner design and printing with County Print, one of the University's contracted printers. They'll also handle the delivery of the headliners to Bullock's Coaches and make sure that old headliners are removed from display.
If you are interested in promoting events or other aspects of University life to an audience of 800,000 passengers a year on the 147 buses, you can find full details of the service online at:
If bus headliners aren't the type of advertising you are looking for, you'll also find information on our website about two other formats which might suit your needs:
- Display ads in print in UniLife (available to staff, students and members of the public)
- Classified ads online in The Marketplace (available to staff, students and members of the public)
