Spotlight on fluorescent tube recycling

Operational Services (Directorate of Estates and Facilities) have produced a short film showing how fluorescent tubes and compact fluorescent bulbs are recycled.

Around 2.8 tonnes of tubes are recycled each year by the University, mostly because they have been replaced by energy-efficient alternatives.

Staff can also recycle compact fluorescent bulbs/lamps using the facility near the “Ask Me” desk in University Place.
