Ways of seeing climate change

Bringing artists and scientists together to explore climate change on 30 October (10am-5.30pm), in St James’ Building, 61-95 Oxford Street, Manchester, M1 6FQ.

400 Thousand Generations

Scientists and artists will have the opportunity to plan ideas together on a future funded project.

The event will include workshops on climate change and action, health, fuel poverty, reducing your carbon footprint and technology.

Contributors will include:

  • Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell. who will give the opening address as the President and Vice Chancellor of The University of Manchester
  • Professor Kevin Anderson, from the Tyndall Centre and The University of Manchester, who will speak about our stark choice: to continue as we are and face devastating degrees of warming or work together to reduce our emissions
  • Artists working with scientists, who will enable wider engagement which is vital on climate change, as artists are more attuned to communicating with wide audiences.
