Urban Naturalist: Bees at Manchester Museum
22 Oct 2013
Saturday 26 October, 2-4pm
The wide variety of flowering plants in urban areas is good news for honey bees. Manchester Museum’s own beehive has seen bees buzzing around our allotment since the summer of 2013. Join our museum beekeepers and experts from the Manchester and District Bee Keepers Association to find out about bees and what flowers to plant to encourage the 250 wild bees that live in the UK.
Urban Naturalist is a series of friendly, practical workshops run by leading naturalists. From wild food-foraging and composting to bird song and insect identification, explore biodiversity on our doorstep.
