Engagement@Manchester - next event on 16 October 2013
08 Oct 2013
Are you interested in public engagement? Do you want to meet other like-minded people at the University? Would you like to hear some inspiring ideas?
Our monthly lunchtime meetings exploring aspects of public engagement are back. All University students and staff are invited to attend. There is a wealth of expertise across the University in this field and we are running these free events to help us share our ideas and experiences.
When and where is it happening?
Next event is being held on Wednesday, 16 October (1–2pm) in the Kanaris Theatre at the Manchester Museum.
What will happen?
This event will be exploring Public Engagement and the University's Social Responsibility Strategy. Julian Skyrme will be speaking about his role as Director of Social Responsibility and the important role he sees for Public Engagement in our University.
You will also hear about upcoming opportunities to get involved and you will have chance to have your say too. We will ask to hear your suggestions for topics for future events and if you’re keen to present – let us know.
Who is it for?
Everyone is welcome – no experience in public engagement is needed. We are keen to encourage new people to take their first steps in public engagement, as well as support those with more experience.
There’s no need to book – just turn up! Tea and coffee will be provided, but please bring your lunch along with you.
