A new start for Staff Update

The first issue of the new-look Staff Update has just been published and it is on its way to its new audience – members of University staff who don’t have easy access to the intranet StaffNet at work.

In future, Staff Update will be published ten times a year, at the start of the month, and eligible staff will receive their copies at their team brief meeting.

Most stories will have a web address at the bottom of them – so that readers can find out more about the story if they’ve got a smartphone or internet access at home.

We’ve set up a staff panel made up of a selection of people from the Directorate of Estates and Facilities and the Directorate for the Student Experience, where most staff without internet access at work are based.

The panel has let us know the kind of stories they’d like to see in Staff Update, and we will be meeting regularly with them over the coming months to make sure that we get Staff Update just right.
