The Whitworth Art Gallery is undergoing a new and exciting chapter in its history.
Construction company ISG PLC are currently undertaking a major building project to transform and extend the 120-year-old gallery, doubling its public areas whilst reducing the carbon footprint and improving facilities for visitors.
The Gallery closed on 2 September 2013, and went out in style with the Whitworth Weekending event. Now with construction fully underway, Open Doors presents a unique opportunity to see behind the hoardings on site at the Whitworth Art Gallery on the 27th and 28th of September 2013.
