Cancer Research UK hosts event for anyone affected by cancer
07 Aug 2013
On Friday, 6 September at the Paterson Institute.
This autumn, for the first time, CR-UK is holding a series of linked events all around the UK to enable those who've been affected by cancer to find out more about the charity, and to give them a chance to help shape plans for deeper and better engagement with patients in the future.
The events are entitled 'Your Say, Your Day' and, as well as helping to inform the charity's future direction, include an opportunity to find out more about the life-saving research taking place in Manchester, including the development of the new Manchester Cancer Research Centre.
The events are aimed at anyone who has been affected by cancer. This could include people who have been successfully treated in the past, or who are caring or who have cared for someone with the disease, as well as people currently undergoing treatment. Those attending are welcome to come in pairs and bring a friend! Travel expenses and lunch will be provided.
Please share this opportunity with any of your contacts who might be interested.
