Whitworth Park Archaeology and History Project – daily tours this week
10 Jul 2013
Led by University of Manchester archaeologists, the Heritage Lottery Fund supported dig aims to expose and explore the rich vein of Victorian and Edwardian history still hidden from view at Whitworth Park.
If you would like to see how this project is progressing, there are daily site tours at 1pm on Thursday, 11 July and Friday, 12 July. Meet at the dig near the circular flower bed in Whitworth Park.
For those who cannot make the tour, some of the finds will be on display at the Manchester Museum Big Saturday on 13 July between 11 am and 4 pm.
