IT Services for Research group

The IT Services for Research group, led by Ian Cottam, will be holding its next forum on Wednesday, 26 June (1-2pm) in University Place, Room 2.220.

Aimed at University of Manchester researchers and academic staff, the event will feature discussion on the skills needed to develop and maintain research software, and will also welcome an external guest speaker from University College London: Dr James Hetherington.

James will talk about the Research Software Development Team recently formed at UCL; explaining the role of this team and how its services are accessed, as well as presenting some basic software development practices that other researchers can adopt.

A buffet lunch will be served from 12.30pm.
