Whitworth Art Gallery: special offer for University staff

Free coffee, chai tea and halwa for first 100 staff visitors before 10am on opening morning of Nikhil Chopra's 65-hour performance Coal on Cotton on Friday, 5 July.
This year for Manchester International Festival, Nikhil Chopra will deliver a continuous 65-hour performance at the Whitworth Art Gallery between sunrise on Friday, 5 July and sunset on Sunday, 7 July.
In this durational piece of live art, situated in the Whitworth’s half-built Landscape Gallery, Chopra will draw on personal and collective memory to reveal the complexities and correlations in India and Britain’s shared cultural histories.
The Whitworth would like to invite you to be a part of this exciting occasion by attending on the opening morning of the event. The first 100 visitors from the University to arrive before 10am on Friday will receive a complimentary coffee or chai tea, as well as a traditional Indian Halwa sweet.
Be one of the first to witness Chopra’s captivating and original performance in one of the Whitworth’s brand new gallery spaces.
