Book now for the next HEI seminar Working together - understanding academic and PSS views and priorities on 18 July 2013 (10.45am–2pm) in University Place, Room 2.220.
A buffet lunch will be available from 1.15pm and there will be an opportunity for informal discussion with the speakers.
The July 2013 HEI Seminar will be a specially extended one allowing participants to consider different aspects of the relationship between academic and professional support staff and how each in partnership can contribute to the success of the University.
To conclude the session, the guest speaker, Professor Paul Blackmore will consider motivation in academic life and how this impacts on academic expectations and working practices. Paul’s research expertise is in the conceptualisation and exploration of professional expertise, including its social dimensions, particularly leadership roles in academic settings.
