Rock Drop: Geology identification session

Thursday 30 May, 2-3pm.  Drop-in, free

Our Curator of Earth Sciences, David Gelsthorpe, will be in the Collections Study Centre to answer your questions and identify your rocks and fossils.

Manchester Art Walk

Thursday 30 May, 5.30-7.30pm

Starting outside the entrance to the MMU All Saints Building and taking in The Manchester Museum and Whitworth Art Gallery.  Book online, 4 tickets per person, £4.

At just under a mile long, the Manchester Art Walk will visit the Special Collections Gallery at Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester Museum and Whitworth Art Gallery with introductions at each. Please note: the list at the Whitworth Art Gallery is currently out of order.

Borneo - a biologists expedition of discovery

Friday 31 May, 2-3pm. Drop-in, free, 12+

Australian biologist and herpetologist George Madani talks about his recent expedition to Borneo. George will share his experience of the Bornean jungle, where he searched for, found, and photographed some of the most amazing creatures that live there.

Magic Carpet: Warriors of the Plains

Friday 31 May, 10.30-11.30am and 11.30am-12.30pm.

Collection Bites
