Supporting student experience through policy development and implementation
28 May 2013
Join us for a briefing on the ‘Framework for the Development, Approval and Implementation of Polices and Procedures’ on Thursday, 30 May
Providing an equitable and consistent experience in terms of the application of policies and procedures is highly valued by students and the University is keen to exceed their expectations.
Acting in response to feedback from both staff and students, the Policy Implementation Project (Systems and Infrastructure Theme) was initiated to consider ways in which PSS staff could support a more consistent approach to policy implementation.
The project’s proposed new ‘Framework for the Development, Approval and Implementation of Polices and Procedures’ has received initial support from MDC and TLG, prior to a full stakeholder consultation in June 2013.
Emma Hilton-Wood, Head of Academic Policy and Project Manager for 'Consistent Implementation of Policies and Procedures' will provide a briefing about the new framework, good practice in policy development and outline further recommendations from the group to support a more consistent approach.
Any feedback from attendees with be gratefully received and can be fed back into the consultation process.
