Newly formed theatre and film production company, Fresh Loaf Productions, invites you to the premiere screening of their short film Coastal Shelf.
The five members of Fresh Loaf - Jade Greyul, Ollie Kerswell, Joe McKie, Joe Mellor and Laura Woodward - all graduated from the University's Drama department last year.
Ollie Kerswell, the film's producer, says: "Coastal Shelf is the tale of a man and his experiences with a woman. Simon finds a strange and mysterious girl washed up on a beach. A woman whom he cannot describe. A woman whose like he has not encountered before. Who is she? What is she? Why does she know so much about him? And why can she only sing Nirvana?"
Written by Joe McKie and directed by Jade Greyul, this darkly beautiful work explores the nature of relationships, the limbo between reality and fantasy and the magic of the beach, seldom seen since childhood.
The cast of Coastal Shelf comprises Emma Fernell and Jenny Novitzky, who are also Manchester drama graduates, and current students Hugo Nicholson and Rowland Stirling.
