Tent protest on campus

Starting in the afternoon of Wednesday, 1 May an encampment has been erected on Brunswick Park, which comprises a number of people who are protesting at the conflict in Israel and Gaza. This follows numerous other such events on campuses in the UK and US over the last few days and weeks.

Learn some survival Mandarin, master the art of calligraphy Main Body: The Confucius Institute has launched a new short language course aimed at staff and students at the University of Manchester who want to learn some survival Chinese on a small budget. The new course will take place over five weeks (5 x 1hr) and will introduce learners to practical words and phrases that can be used in everyday situations.
