Library reporting and business intelligence
The Library’s Projects and Business Analysis team provides a service of business intelligence reporting from a variety of systems and data sources.
The standard reports are available from Power BI apps and Alma Analytics dashboards; further details of the reports and how to access them can be found in the Library Business Intelligence Catalogue:
About the Library Planning app
The Library Planning app is a Microsoft Power BI app that contains business intelligence reports, including data visualisations, about a range of University of Manchester Library services.
Microsoft Power BI is the University’s reporting tool, available to staff across the University. To access the Library Planning app, click on the Library Planning app link and request access or contact Dana Barringham.
Alma Analytics
Alma is the Library’s library management system (LMS) and it comes with its own data warehouse and a reporting tool called Alma Analytics. To access Alma Analytics reports, dashboards and widgets go to the Alma login (available via Quick Links on the Library Intranet). Library staff can request access to Alma by logging a ticket through the IT Support Portal.
