Logging and resolving accessibility issues
As you and your team are auditing online interfaces, please log any accessibility issues in the following document:
Completed forms should then be forwarded to kristian.scott@manchester.ac.uk for review and discussion if required.
Information provided on the form may eventually form part of a public accessibility statement, so please word appropriately for external audiences.
Auditing and resolving issues guidance
- Please carry out an accessibility evaluation of each representative page type within the system.
- You don’t need to evaluate every page, just select a page that represents a particular page type (eg. a search results page, an individual record page etc).
- Where you can resolve an accessibility issue within your team, please do this and then re-test.
- If responsiblity for an accessibility issue sits with an external vendor or third party, please approach them for support in the first instance.
- If you require technical support from the Library or University in resolving an accessibility issue, please indicate this on the form.
The Digital Library Development team will endeavour to support you in resolving accessbility issues, but resource may be limited. The University is encouraging a risk-based approach to accessibility, so we will be priortising web interfaces with higher traffic volumes in the first instance.
