New programme proposals

Teaching and Learning Delivery has provided a single New Programme Proposal Form, divided into sections (Sections A to I) with quality assurance check-points and approval gateways identified via several signature points for the approval of new programmes. The approval of new programmes, however, takes place at Faculty level and is undertaken as a three-stage process, the Stakeholder, Approval in Principle and Full Approval.

The process for new programme proposals identified, and confirmed by the Faculty of Humanities is outlined in the New Programmes Proposal (NPP) Project Delivery Model.

The process for new programme proposals submitted by validated partners in Humanities is outlined in the Faculty of Humanities New Programmes Proposal Process for Validated Partners.

All new programme proposals are approved through the Faculty Quality Standards, Design and Enhancement Committee.

Key deadlines

The links below provide a schedule to assist with the programme development process. When setting up new programmes or submitting a programme amendment, in addition to the key deadlines, Schools should be aware of key recruitment and marketing events which can be discussed with the Faculty Marketing and Recruitment Team.
