Quality Standards Design and Enhancement Committee (QSDE) is the Faculty Committee which approve all new programme proposals, programme suspensions, withdrawals and major programme amendments recommended by Schools including those relating to validated programmes delivered by partner institutions. QSDE also has responsibility for reviewing collaborative proposals and making recommendations to the Dean and Vice-President for the approval of collaborative activity with organisations external to the University of Manchester.
Quick Response (QR) code is a matrix barcode which is a machine-readable label which contains information about the item to which it is attached.
Quality Assurance (QA) is the term used for processes for ensuring that the quality of an object or institution has achieved or is maintaining a desired level.
Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for Higher Education was established in 1997 to provide an integrated quality assurance service for UK higher education. Its responsibilities include reviewing standards and quality, defining clear and explicit standards and advising government and higher education institutions on a wide range of educational quality issues.
