Desktop vs Web
Did you know that PointSolutions provides both desktop and browser-based software for your teaching and learning? Better still, your university account and licence grants you full access to both. But which one should you use? As ever, it's really up to you and what's going to suit your sessions and teaching style the most. But as a quick summary:
- PointSolutions Desktop needs installing; it has a fuller question set and plenty of great advanced features
- PointSolutions Web is browser-based, nothing to install; it has a much smaller question and feature set but allows you to do asynchronous/scheduled quizzing
Looking for a fuller exploration of the differences? Here's a handy guide that should help you figure out which one's right for you.
