Social responsibility

Social responsibility at The University of Manchester describes how our research, teaching and external engagement makes a difference to our communities, both socially and economically.

Within social responsibility, five strategic priorities have been highlighted which the whole University is committed to pursuing. These priorities are:

  • Social inclusion
  • Prosperous communities
  • Better health
  • Environmental sustainability
  • Cultural Engagement
