Pre-Application
We encourage prospective applicants to find a potential supervisor before they make their formal programme application. Applicants may identify potential supervisors through reading academic literature and by browsing school websites and research profiles.
After doing this, prospective applicants may reach out directly to you as a potential supervisor to discuss whether you are interested in supporting their proposal. At this point, you may correspond with the prospective applicant, and you might work with them to determine if the supervisory fit is viable.
You may informally review drafts of the research proposal until it is suitable for application. As you read research proposal drafts, please be aware of ethical considerations, as this has been key for the University and Faculty. Guidance provided by MDC is available via the above link.
