Application Deadlines

To ensure we can support applications submitted for a particular entry point and manage the expectations of applicants, below are the application deadlines the Admissions team will adhere to. This information is clearly displayed on our website for applicants to see.

September entry

Each school has an application deadline for internal funding consideration:

School of Arts, Languages and Cultures: 13 January 2025
School of Education, Environment and Development: 20 January 2025
School of Social Sciences: 1 December 2024
Alliance Manchester Business School:

Following the above deadlines, the September 2024 entry point will remain open to externally funded and self-funded Postgraduate Researchers only. The deadline to submit a programme application is 30 June 2025.

January entry

A January start date is available for programmes in the School of Social Sciences and the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures. There are no internal funding competitions at this time, so this entry point is open to externally funded and self-funded Postgraduate Researchers only. The deadline to submit a programme application for January 2026 entry is 30 September 2025.
