Governance handbook on committees and groups
The Governance Office has a handbook which can be referred to for support and guidance on the operation of committees and groups in the Faculty of Humanities.
School Boards ensure academic and professional services staff have a voice in the governance of their areas within The University of Manchester.
Boards are able to discuss and express opinions on any matter impinging on the work of the School.
They offer a forum for all staff to play a major role in the School’s executive management and strategic development.
The School Board Chair has overall responsibility for the committee’s business. Guidance for School Board Chairs is available here:
